There is no makers mark on either the cane or the diamond section blade but the silver crook end is hallmarked and engraved with what looks to be two Irish Harps. The silver collar is in the form of a belt.
The cane is well made and sturdy.
The 59 cm bodkin blade has a needle sharp point, which is held tightly within the body of the cane with no rattle or movement.
The blade sheathes and draws well.
The cane is in very good condition and is structurally sound with a great age patina. There are scuffs and knocks consistent with its age and use. The brass ferrule is firmly attached and has some use related wear.
The overall length of the cane is 92 cm.
