Spanish M1941 Bolo Bayonet Spanish M1941 Bolo Bayonet. Toledo Arms Factory #2 Toledo Bayonet Spanish M1941 Spanish M1941 Bolo Bayonet. Toledo Arms Factory #4
Spanish M1941 Bolo Bayonet by Toledo Arms Factory.

The M1941 bayonet was designed as a replacement for the M1907 Artillery Bolo. The Machete Bayoneta Modelo 1941, retains the M1907 Artillery Bolo's blade profile and heavy crosspiece but with a shorter blade. It was rather impractical and unpopular with the troops to which it was issued.

The M1941 was the standard bayonet issued with the 8mm Mauser M1943 short rifle.

The 24.5cm bolo blade is in excellent condition and is marked on the ricasso with the Toledo maker’s name. The obverse ricasso bears the serial number “5205” over the letter “R.” The cross piece below the muzzle ring bears the stamp “L 11.”

The chequered wooden grip scales are in mint condition and the press-stud locking mechanism works perfectly.

The polished steel scabbard is in great condition with only minor signs of wear. The scabbard is stamped with the serial number “5072” over the letter “F.”

This is a very clean example of this unusual Spanish bayonet. Spanish M1941 Bolo Bayonet by Toledo Arms Factory.
