British No.4 Mk II bayonet made by the Singer factory in Glasgow, Scotland.
A Singer factory inspectors’ code, 77Z is stamped on the socket block.
The left-hand side of the block bears the pattern designation and an unusual stamp showing a Broad Arrow with 5K, the numeral and letter on either side of the shaft of the arrow. The socket block retains remnants of brown paint.
The bayonet is in very good condition and is complete with its No.4 Mk I scabbard.
